A collection built on restraint, where seduction lies in what is withheld rather than revealed
The Fall Winter 2014–2015 collection, The Illusion of the Heart, explores a shift away from exposure towards suggestion. In a time where visibility has become the default, the collection questions what remains when not everything is shown.
It is a collection about control — over image, over perception and over what is shared.
The starting point of the collection lies in the idea of concealment as a form of power. Rather than presenting the body openly, the garments create a dynamic where visibility is selective and intentional.
The question is not what is seen, but what is left unseen.
In a culture where people continuously reveal themselves — physically and digitally — this collection moves in the opposite direction. It builds tension through absence. A shoulder, a back or a leg appears unexpectedly, not as a statement, but as a moment.
The reference “Est-ce que tout va bien?” introduces a subtle unease beneath the surface. A reminder that what appears composed may not always be as controlled as it seems.

Leather remains the foundation of the collection, used across trousers, shirts, skirts and dresses. It is combined with softer materials such as viscose, wool and cotton, creating contrast between structure and fluidity.
Layering plays a central role. Multiple garments are worn over each other, reshaping the body and altering the silhouette. This creates new forms that do not directly follow the natural lines of the body, but reinterpret them.
The balance between fitted and oversized elements is key. Slim silhouettes are interrupted by large outerwear pieces, such as oversized parkas or long shirts, creating a sense of distance between body and garment.
Details are kept controlled and precise, allowing the overall composition to remain calm, even when complex.

For women, the collection introduces a strong contrast between fitted and oversized elements. Tight skirts are paired with long, loose shirts and large outerwear, creating a silhouette that feels both structured and intentionally obscured.
Dresses and layered looks reveal fragments of the body in unexpected ways, without ever becoming overt. This creates a quiet form of sensuality, where presence is built through restraint.
For men, the collection introduces a more bohemian direction. While leather remains dominant in trousers, shirts and jackets, it is combined with softer tailoring and relaxed styling.
A standout piece is the peacoat in a golden crocodile print, worn over otherwise understated looks. Oversized leather scarves function both as accessories and as extensions of the garment, adding volume and movement.
Tailored wool suits are subtly disrupted by leather details, reinforcing the balance between refinement and edge.
The Fall Winter 2014-2015 collection was presented at Amsterdam Fashion Week, accompanied by a live performance from the Amsterdam-based band Moke.
The presence of live music introduced an additional layer to the show, reinforcing the atmosphere of tension and release within the collection. The setting remained minimal, allowing sound, movement and silhouette to work together as one.

The Illusion of the Heart marks a moment where expression becomes more controlled. Less direct, more deliberate — and ultimately more powerful because of it.
